ORCA A Huge Blessing For Me

I am so proud to announce a new partner on board with Team Dyer!  ORCA (Outdoor Recreation Company of America) is a new company with their first products coming off the production line now.  And get this…they are all made in America, right up there in Sparta, TN.  How awesome is that?  The guys that own the company are big-time fishermen and have started with a bang by producing some awesome coolers.  Work is in progress on additional product lines and I am so excited about all of this.  The Lord has truly blessed me with the privilege of representing ORCA and the craftsmanship of American workers.

I toured the plant (they are produced at the same factory as Jackson Kayak) and saw the attention to the detail and quality control in place.  Rotational molding is not easy to do but these guys know their stuff.  Top quality coolers are such an invaluable piece of gear these days, especially for fishermen.  The one I am standing on here was tested in the Grand Canyon and they did their best to beat the stew out of it.  It got dirty but held its own.

This opportunity will allow me to fish a few more tournaments in 2013 and with their help we will impact more peoples’ lives in the coming years.  I will be happy to talk with all of you about their products as well as my other great sponsors.  I will let you all know on Facebook where and when you can check the coolers out.  Go ahead and Like their Facebook page – http://www.facebook.com/OrcaCoolers

So blessed

I feel so blessed by the events of 2012. It has been a wonderful year. I am getting to fish a little bit more than last year so that is great right?!

This week I am in Charlotte, NC getting some of the fishing rust off and practicing for the 2nd Southern Open of the year. I fly out Thursday to be with the folks in Monroe City, Indiana and then return Sunday for the tournament.

The speaking engagements this year have been a huge blessing too. I have met so many awesome people and hope they will all keep in touch on here or more easily, on Facebook.

Thanks for all the support!

Back fishing at last!

I am back from Florida and feeling so good about my first experience fishing on the BASS circuit in a long while.  We had a great trip and I could not ask to spend a week with a better travel partner (Bill), fishing friends and fellow competitors.  It was so exciting to be back out on tour and getting to chase green fish around.  Practice was a blast and I got to work out the rust built up from being out of action for a while.

On both days of the event I had the misfortune of losing big fish but it was awesome to know I found some good areas and got to see a lot of fish caught.  There is no feeling in the world like getting a bite and setting the hook!  Even though I didn’t get to cross the weigh-in stage and drop a big bag off to be weighed it was still an awesome event.

Thanks to everyone that wished we well on Facebook and for the new friends I met down in Florida.

I am excited about the upcoming event this weekend in Centerville, TN and seeing family up there.  From the looks of the calendar February is going to be busy and the Lord will bring many new people into my life.

If I can, you can!

Excitement

The news came out this week that I will be fishing the 2012 Bassmaster Southern Opens!  I am so excited and feel blessed.  Blessed for so many reasons.  Thanks to all that have been praying for me.  If I can, you can!  What is it in your life that you want to happen?

Here’s the original article on Bassmaster.

An honor

The events of December 8th and 9th will stay with me for a long time.   I was blessed to spend time with the fine folks of Foot Locker and Great Plains Roofing in Junction City and Kansas City.  They treated me so well at the Foot Locker facility and the introduction to speak made me feel like I was driving into the Bassmaster Classic.   They had a Ranger/Mercury rig available that made a perfect stage.  I received several certificates, a Foot Locker vest and a K-State hat and jersey signed by Bill Snyder.  For you Roll Tide fans, he’s like the Bear Bryant of Kansas.  🙂

But as great as that was it all paled in comparison to their arranging two times at the Fort Riley military base.  I learned so much about Fort Riley, the Big Red One (1st Infantry Division) and the life of civilians working on post.  Fort Riley has a terrifically organize Wounded Transition Brigade (WTB) as well that welcomed me on the 9th.  Those guys are my heroes and it was awesome to think that I perhaps gave them some small amount of encouragement.   The trip reminds me what the Bible says “It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35).  I was seriously blessed by that time and hope to return soon.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Blessed

I am so blessed to get to meet great people all over the USA.  The people at the companies, churches and organizations I encounter daily are so gracious.  2011 has been such a blessing to me and I want to thank everyone I have met for being so good to me.  God is good!

The great folks of Monroe, LA were kind enough to connect me with their local news media.  Here is an article they posted online.  My visit last week to Monroe was just awesome.

Where has June gone?

The month of June is one of my favorites.  This year has been no exception.  The month started off well with a chance to spend time with my friends at Clayton Homes.  That company is full of wonderful people and I am blessed to know them.

I’ve been able to get out on the water a little bit this month.  This past weekend I fished with my friend Jake Roberson in the Fishers of Men Legacy Series National Tournament in Pickwick.  We had a great time.  Jake is a fine young man who has recently started traveling with me.

I hope you all are having a great summer.  See you on the water or on Facebook – http://www.facebook.com/ProBassManDyer.

May

How are all of my awesome fans? I hope you’ve had an outstanding week, and for you Mothers out there I hope you had a wonderful Mothers Day!

After such a trying week from recovering from the devastating storms, I’m so proud to report that my home state of Alabama is on the comeback! It’s such a blessing to see people pulling together to help each other out and to work so hard to overcome adversity! I’ve had such an awesome week in helping substitute teach for some of our teachers who have been affected by those tornadoes. I’ve also been working with our Varsity High School football team in spring practice to get prepared for what is anticipated to be a huge year for the Hamilton Aggies in 2011!

Also, this past weekend I had the Blessing of helping with a benefit tournament for a children’s home that one of my wonderful sponsors Performance Marine hosted! I hope you all have an awesome week! Please continue to remember the storm victims in your Prayers as they continue to recover! God Bless you all!

April 25th-May 1st

Hello to all of my awesome fans! I hope you’ve all had a great week! Things have been very good with me and I feel very Blessed to report that after the devastation and destruction from the recent tornadoes that hit my home state of Alabama that me and all of my family are ok! I’ve seen a lot of terrible things in my 32 years of being alive but nothing comes close to putting into words the destruction and devastation I’ve witnessed and seen from these terrible storms. It’s been so truly amazing to hear the survival stories that have came from this!

On the positive side, right after the storms passed I had the Blessing of going to help with benefiting some storm victims thru fishing in the Marks Outdoors Lay Lake open! So many people came to bring supplies and help to raise money for these wonderful people whose lives had been torn apart… I want to say a special thank you to my wonderful sponsor Strike King Lures for enabling me to be a part of this wonderful event!

Please remember all of those impacted by these horrible storms in your prayers! Have a Blessed week and I’ll be back in touch with you soon!
